rotten fish and rainbows

I had a fabulous weekend. School free Friday spent with my fabulous friends, pictures to come. Saturday was the first official day of yard work, my favorite! Mowing the lawn for the first time means warm summer is on its way! That evening Reese came with the family as we headed up to Draper to do a little shopping. The drive there was pretty much hilarious. Reese says the funniest things that get us all laughing. Here are my favorite two quotes.
-As we drove past IKEA:
Me: "Reese we still need to go to IKEA."
Reese: "Yeah, and I want to go with Brady so we can buy that rotten fish they have and eat it with him."
Me: "I'm not kissing you for two weeks if you eat that stuff!"
Dad: "In that case, I will buy you some right now Reese! As much as you want!"

-Soon we drove by the golden gates of "Day Break" where, as you all know, is an absolutely perfect place where all of your wildest dreams come true:
Reese: "Wow I feel so perfect right now, we must be near Day Break."
Mom: "Where is Day Break anyways?"
Reese: "Where the rainbow begins."

I love him! I had to document this for future laughs!

what a day

-woke up with a soar throat and no voice: awesome!
-went to school, where I had to give an impromptu joke in front of my public speaking class, with no voice.
-told an awesome joke for that impromptu speech.
-drove to my Dad's work and got fingerprinted for the Elementary Ed program.
-ate a yummy lunch with my Dad and had fun walking around BYU campus.
-told my dad my impromptu joke, and he loved it.
-headed back to school to turn in fingerprinting paperwork.
-blew a tire on my car: nice!
-my Dad rescued me again and took my donut-ed car to get a new tire: I love him!
-now I am home. So tired and sick. I have successfully procrastinated my homework for 4 hours.
-I wish I could just relax and edit all the recent pictures of Finley Mae.
-I just want to go to sleep.
-but hey, I finally posted something and added my formspring box, so I have made some progress right?
-I am so ready to trade snow for snow cones and sweats for shorts and mix matched socks for flip flops.
-Summer, you are so welcome to come any day now.
